The full gem tour runs about five hours and includes the mine, market, cutting demonstration, museum and lunch. A focused mine visit takes about one hour.
No. Buying is never required. Many guests come purely for the experience, and those who do want a stone buy it certified, at the source, with our gemologist beside them.
Ratnapura is around two to three hours from Colombo by road. We can advise on transport, and the tour pairs beautifully with an overnight stay.
